The illts chalked up an 8th consecutive win to consolidate 3rd position in the table. The illts had been well beaten in the earlier fixture at llantwit before Christmas but since then they have taken 37 points out of a possible 40 to move into contention for promotion with 2 games against second placed Barry to come.
The home side were good value for their win, turning in one of their best performances of the season. Tries from Tom wheeler (2),matt banner, mike hiscocks and skipper phil morse were the reward for an excellent display. The variety of the illts attack was excellent, the pack was dominant and the backs continue to look sharper game on game. They scored some great tries with banners probably the pick as the centre finished off a sparkling handling move.
Next up for the illts is the derby against the buns, the third "el cathlico" of the season, with the illts looking for a 9th straight win.
